This policy explains what personal information we collect when you contact Chimney Service Experts, why we collect it, who it is shared with and how long we keep it. It describes what this business actually does. Where a tool or practice is not in use, we say so rather than list it as a precaution.

Chimney Service Experts is the service brand of S S Enterprises, which carries out kitchen chimney cleaning, repair, installation and inspection in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. S S Enterprises is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Our contact details are in the last section.
2. Information we collect
From the enquiry form on this website: your name, mobile number, the service you need, your location or locality, any preferred date or time you enter, and the message you write.
When you call or message us: your mobile number, and whatever you choose to tell us about the requirement and the address for the visit.
When a service is carried out: the service address, details of the unit and a record of the work done and the amount charged.
Automatically: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which normally include the IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These logs exist to keep the website running and secure. We do not use them to build a profile of you.
3. The chat assistant on this website
The chat assistant is a simple scripted feature that runs inside your own browser. It shows answers that are already written into this website. It is not connected to an artificial intelligence service, it does not send your conversation to any server, and the conversation is lost when you close the page. It cannot quote prices, offer discounts or make guarantees.
If you then choose to call or message us from within the chat, that call or message is handled as described elsewhere in this policy.
4. Why we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and understand what service you need.
- To agree an appointment time with you.
- To let the technician reach your address and contact you about the visit.
- To tell you the applicable charge and to carry out the work.
- To deal with any question, complaint or follow-up after the service.
- To keep our own records of work done and amounts charged, including where we are required to keep such records by law.
We do not use your details to send marketing messages unless you have asked us to.
5. Who your information is shared with
- Our own technician who is assigned to your visit, so that he can reach you and the address.
- WhatsApp, if you choose to contact us that way. Messages sent over WhatsApp are handled by WhatsApp's own systems and its own privacy terms, which are outside our control. If you would rather not use it, please call instead.
- Our website hosting provider, which stores this website and keeps the server logs described above.
- Authorities or advisers, where we are required to disclose information by law or need advice to establish or defend a legal claim.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not pass your enquiry to other contractors, lead-generation companies or marketing agencies.
6. Cookies, storage and analytics
This website stores one thing in your browser: your choice of English or Tamil, so that the site opens in the same language next time. It is stored on your own device and can be cleared through your browser settings.
To be specific about what is not in use on this website at the date of this policy: there is no Google Analytics, no Meta or Facebook pixel, no advertising or remarketing tag, no third-party chat widget, no payment gateway and no login or user account system.
If any of these are added in future, this policy will be updated before or at the time they go live, and a cookie notice will be added if one is required.
7. How long we keep your information
Enquiries that do not lead to a service are kept only as long as they are useful for following up, and are then deleted.
Records of completed services are kept for as long as we need them to deal with later questions, complaints or warranty matters about that job, and for as long as we are required to keep business records under applicable law.
Server logs kept by our hosting provider are retained for that provider's standard period.
8. Keeping your information safe
This website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Access to enquiry details is limited to the people in our team who need them in order to arrange and carry out your service.
No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise. What we can tell you plainly is that we do not ask for and do not want your financial or identity information - see the next section.
9. Information you should never send us
Please do not send bank account details, debit or credit card numbers, CVV numbers, UPI PINs, one-time passwords (OTPs), passwords, Aadhaar or PAN numbers, or photographs of identity documents through the enquiry form, WhatsApp or the chat assistant. None of these are needed to arrange a chimney service.
We will never ask you for them. If anyone claiming to represent this business asks you for an OTP or a card number, do not share it, and please call the number published on this website to verify.
If you send us information of this kind anyway, we will delete it once we notice it.
10. Your choices and rights
You may ask us to:
- tell you what personal information of yours we hold;
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your information, where we are not required to keep it for a legal or record-keeping reason;
- stop contacting you about an enquiry.
Contact us using the details in the last section. So that we do not disclose someone else's details to the wrong person, we may need to confirm that the request is genuinely from you - usually by calling you back on the number we already have.
11. Children
Our services are arranged by adults. This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from a child. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
